Claire graduated from the University of Tasmania with a combined degree in Science and Law in 2006. Following several years working in the finance sector, she was admitted to the Supreme Court of Tasmania in 2010. Following her admission, she worked as Associate to the Honourable Chief Justice Blow AO, before practising predominantly in family law, child protection, criminal law and wills and estates. Claire has routinely appeared as counsel in the Federal Circuit Court of Australia, Family Court of Australia, Supreme Court of Tasmania, Magistrates Courts and before the Guardianship and Administration Board.
Claire was appointed as an investigator for the Legal Profession Board of Tasmania in 2017, before returning to practice in her home town of Launceston in 2019. Claire assists individuals in all aspects of family law, including matrimonial and de facto relationships and separations, financial agreements and children’s matters.
Claire is committed to improving access to justice and is a former director and Secretary of the Tasmanian Refugee Legal Service.
