Jake commenced with Simmons Wolfhagen in August 2025 after working in government as a mediator for two years. Prior to that, Jake practised in general and criminal litigation, both in private practice and in government. Jake brings a results driven approach to his practice and has a wealth of experience in both alternative dispute resolution and courtroom advocacy.

Following Jake’s admission to the Supreme Court of Tasmania in 2017, he practised primarily in criminal law, regularly appearing in the Magistrates Court and Supreme Court of Tasmania. Jake now practices across all areas of litigation and can offer assistance with a variety of litigious matters and disputes. Due to Jake’s courtroom experience, he is able to appear as Counsel where required, and regularly appears across multiple courts and tribunals.
